Maryland has 16 seniors playing their last home game at Byrd Stadium. A win gives N.C. State the ACC's Atlantic Division title and a date with Virginia Tech in the ACC Championship game. Florida State needs a Maryland win for the division title. There were plenty of things irritated me during and after the Florida State game last week. From rude fans to the Seminoles wishing Maryland luck against the Wolfpack. Maryland Head Coach Ralph Friedgen said that "irritated" his team the most because they want to win for Maryland, not for Florida State.

The most likely bowl destination for Maryland is at RFK Stadium in the December 29 Military Bowl. However, should Duke beat North Carolina and Maryland beat N.C. State, the Terps could be going to the Music City Bowl in Nashville.

Today's Maryland-N.C. State game has also been dubbed the Debbie Yow Bowl as the former Terrapins Athletic Director left Maryland in the Fall for a similar position at N.C. State, where her late sister Kay coached women's basketball.
