Alex Twine: ACC Rookie of the Week

Maryland Linebacker Alex Twine was honored as the Atlantic Coast Conference Rookie of the Week for his play Saturday in the Terps 45-21 loss to Notre Dame.

Twine had a career-best 12 tackles vs the Fightin' Irish. He's been one of the bright spots in a dismal season for the Terps In just his third career start, Twine had three tackles for losses (most by any Terrapin defender this season) and one sack.

Twine has played in all ten games this season. He averaged ten tackles in his three starts and for the season, he has 35 tackles, including 4.5 for a loss, one sack, and one recovered fumble.

Twine's been all over the field this season.
